The following came from Ken Oates the OPC for Gunwalloe William LASSITER was attached to the Coast Guard at Gunwalloe. He was listed in the 1871 census as a coast guard boatman, and in 1881 as being a Greenwich pensioner, and in the 1891 census as a naval pensioner. He married Julianna OATS of Gunwalloe, daughter of William OATS the blacksmith, in 1872 and they lived at Berepper. They had several children and continued to live in the area after retirement.
