The following came from Ken Oates the OPC for Gunwalloe

William LASSITER was attached to the Coast Guard at Gunwalloe.  He was listed in the 1871 census as a coast guard boatman, and in 1881 as being a Greenwich pensioner, and in the 1891 census as a naval pensioner. He married Julianna OATS of Gunwalloe, daughter of William OATS the blacksmith, in 1872 and they lived at Berepper. They had several children and continued to live in the area after retirement.

The following came from Victoria Chesters

Please can I offer an addition:

William Johnson 1810 - 1892
Coast Guard in and around St Anthony and Mawnan Cornwall. My source is 1851 and 1861 Census for St Anthony Cornwall.
In 1871 he is listed as Superannuated Coastguard in Mawnan.
1881 Superannaunated Costguard in Norfolk Road, Falmouth and 1891in Pentewan, St Austell.

William was born in Cley Norfolk. In 1841 I believe he was serving in the Royal Navy in Ireland as a number of his children are born there.

William was the Gt, Gt, Gt Grandfather of my husband.

I hope this information is of interest.

Kind Regards
Victoria Chesters
